Dora’s interest in art began at a young age, but it wasn’t until college that she discovered the art of goldsmithing. She found that her talents and sensibilities were well suited for this artform. She earned her undergraduate degree as an art major at University of Wisconsin, Madison, where she was privileged to study under Eleanor Moty and Fred Fenster. Dora Winchester Handcrafted Jewelry opened for business in 1991.

Dora participates in a handful of public and private shows every year, and also works by appointment out of her home studio.
